Enrolment - Local Enrolment

General principles governing local enrolment

To be enrolled as a local student applicants are required to prove that they are bona fide permanent residents of a dwelling with an address in a geographical area designated for the school by the Department of Education as the school's local area. Our school's local area consists of Emu Plains, Emu Heights, Leonay and the following Penrith streets near the Nepean River:

  • Captains Road
  • Fitch Avenue
  • Ladbury Avenue
  • Memorial Avenue
  • Nepean Avenue
  • Recreation Avenue

Proof of address evidence must be provided with every application for local enrolment. This proof of address evidence must include:

  • a current Council Land Rates Notice OR a Residential Tenancy Agreement, and
  • one of the following current documents:  Electricity / Gas / Water account

In circumstances where parents are divorced or separated, the school will rely on Family Court Orders to determine the child's place of residence.

In some cases the Principal may also require:

  • A Statutory Declaration that includes the wording: The following address, (insert address) is the primary place of residence for (insert child's full name)

Where applicants for enrolment as local students fail to provide the required evidence of their permanent residence, they will be treated as non-local students for the purpose of enrolment.

The primary school will forward the information to us and we will contact you once a decision has been made about your child's potential enrolment, and next steps.

If your child is currently enrolled in Year 6 in a non-government primary school, and you wish to apply to enrol in our school in Year 7 of the following year, please download a copy of the Expression of Interest form to complete and return to us. If you do not have access to a printer please contact us to obtain a copy. We will contact you once a decision has been made about your child's potential enrolment, and next steps.
