Enrolment - Creative Arts

Creative Arts Audition Requirements
Students will be considered for a place in the Creative Arts Stream based on their audition. Should they be successful at audition students will be invited to an interview with the Principal.

The audition will consist of:

  • Students are required to respond to a Creative Arts Brief consisting of a practical and theoretical component which will be provided approximately 2 weeks prior to the audition.

 Practical:

  • The practical submission requires students to explore a given concept and is intended to be a reflective, introspective or observational inquiry into the personal world of the developing student artist.
  • Students can choose any medium they like in order to achieve this e.g. drawing, sculpture, printmaking, ceramics, digital works, film, documented works and/or design objects. If the submission contains images, there is a limit of 6 images. Maximum video or time-based works must be less than 3 minutes long, and can be stored on a flash drive.

Theoretical:

  • The theoretical submission will require students to create a piece of writing, no more than two paragraphs, in response to a question posed about an image.
  • The set Creative Arts brief MUST be brought to the audition.
  • Students may also bring additional practical artworks to the audition; however, the number of pieces must not exceed four (4).
