Responsible Conduct of Gambling (RCG) Course

The RCG course is delivered by the Edway Group (a Registered Training Organisation) at Nepean Creative and Performing Arts High School. This course is theory based and covers the laws and legislation of gambling in NSW and is all about how to provide gambling services responsibly. It is for people who want to work in licensed gaming venues such as registered clubs and hotels, as gaming attendants. Some employers insist on this qualification for bar attendant jobs in licensed venues.

The students learn how to minimise harm from gambling, using discretion, judgement and teamwork. The focus is placed on developing a positive attitude to the responsible conduct of gambling in the hospitality industry. This course takes approximately six and a half hours to complete. Congratulations to the students pictured above on gaining this qualification.

Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) Course

The RSA course educates people involved in the sale, supply, or promotion of alcohol. By attaining an RSA Certificate you will know how to serve and sell alcohol in a responsible way. A registered training organisation delivers this course to our students.

Comments from two students who completed this course are as follows:

“It was a great experience to get the RSA training and it’s good to know that I have that certificate as a back-up.”

“It was different to a normal school experience and I felt good after I had finished it. It’ll be great to have it on my resume. One day I hope to travel and I can use this qualification to get a job.”
